i'm a sucker for plaid button-ups and buffalo plaid in red and black is a classic. of course i scooped up the men's version because they always have a longer, slouchier fit that i like. this was a look that i wore to two holiday parties this past season ... i like the juxtaposition of the ruffly petticoat and the plaid and of course i popped the collar and rolled the sleeves for some edge. this can easily translate to every day with a less full black skirt or black jeans. 

happy friday! i'm so over this cold weather we've been having but who isn't? i'll be catching a couple episodes of Breaking Bad tonight (obsessed!) and attempting to make a few vegan recipes tomorrow night for a little get together with my sister and brother-in-law over. cheers to the weekend!
