fancy meets casual.

so i have this petticoat in three colors (black as seen here and here, cream in this post and white, yet to be posted). i totally wear it as a skirt even though it's typically meant to be worn under skirts to make them fuller. i love the juxtaposition of the ruffly petticoat with the western style denim shirt. fancy meets casual. if you don't have a petticoat in your closet (i know it's not an every day item), tuck a chambray button-up into a full black skirt (and roll the sleeves a bit) for the same kind of look (and a bit more practical of a look).
