sequin skirts

i recently bought two sequin skirts from a consignment shop (i'm a sucker for vintage sequins) and while sequins are usually worn for the holidays or special events, i'm down for wearing them whenever you want... because why not?

i found some inspo on how to wear them for any occasion... 

so chic with a chunky cardigan and booties

cool and comfortable with an oversized tee

the red with a cozy sweater, love this

perfect for the holidays - a white tee, a blazer and heels

classic with a fisherman sweater

make it casual with a tank, sweatshirt, hat and sneaks

easy with a white tank, denim jacket and statement earrings

love the tonal look of grey and silver

fun with a graphic tee (which is a home alone tee - so awesome) 

right up my alley - with a sweatshirt 

also this, with an oversized white tee

 and of course carrie in sex and the city - she makes it look effortless with a simple white camisole

and yours truly wearing my gold sequin skirt with a black top, denim jacket and sneaks in mexico :)

and dressing up the same skirt with a black tank and heels for a wedding...

i'm all for buying vintage/pre-owned but if you're going to buy a new sequin skirt, i suggest buying one in a timeless style that works for you - a mini, a pencil or midi and a metallic tone is super versatile that you can wear year after year. colors are fun too but make sure it's a classic style and a color that will go well with other pieces in your closet.
